Pokerstars Daily Spin

As if all of you haven’t been playing enough online poker this year, how about one more gigantic tournament series to close things out? PokerStars has announced the PokerStars Blowout Series, running December 27, 2020 to January 19, 2021, and featuring 268 tournaments. The poker room promises $60 million in guaranteed prize pools the entire series.

One-third of that total is in four events, called the Big Blowout tournaments. Each of them takes place on a Sunday and each comes with a $5 million guaranteed prize pool. The Big Blowout tournaments and their buy-ins are as follows:

  • December 27, 2020 – $109 buy-in
  • January 3, 2021 – $215 buy-in
  • January 10, 2021 – $530 buy-in
  • January 17, 2021 – $1,050 buy-in
  1. How Spin & Go’s work. Spin & Go’s are fast-paced, 3-Max Hyper-Turbo Sit & Go tournaments, featuring 500 chip starting stacks. Tournaments have randomly drawn prize pools that will award between two and 12,000 times the buy-in, with prizes of up to $1,000,000 to be won.
  2. The Daily Bigs is a schedule of big-money guaranteed tournaments running every day, and your chance to play for tens of thousands of rupees in cash every single day of the week! The Daily Bigs tournaments start with buy-ins as low as just a few rupees, which means everyone can take part and compete for a share of the guaranteed cash.

We also host the best weekly tournaments, plus many more every day of the week. With a game starting every second, PokerStars is the only place to play tournament poker online. Team PokerStars Pro.

“It has been a unique year so we have created a unique series to celebrate our love and our players’ love for the game,” said Managing Director and Commercial Officer of Poker at PokerStars, Severin Rasset, in this week’s announcement. “We have a variety of buy-ins for our Big Blowout Sunday events with $5 million guaranteed, giving all players in our community the opportunity to play in these special events. We also have our New Year’s Bash on January 1st where we hope to see many players come together to ring in 2021.”

Speaking of that New Year’s Bash, it takes place on, you guessed it, New Year’s Day (oh wait, Rasset said that). The buy-in is just $11, but the guarantee is a generous $2 million.

Dec 16, 2019 Most sites have sped-up versions of Spin and Go's, such as Winamax where they offer Expresso Nitro and PokerStars where the game is called Spin & Go Flash. In both, players start with just 300.

The rest of the events have three-tiered buy-in structures, high, medium, and low, like many PokerStars tournament series do. That’s 88 events, three tourneys a piece.

And, as is usually the case with major PokerStars events, there will be plenty of ways to qualify for the tourneys. There is the Blowout Ticket Machine, which will dole out $2 million in tournament tickets from December 27 to January 16. You have to do the silly “opt-in” thing in the challenges window to be eligible (seriously, just have everyone opted-in automatically) and then play in a Blowout Series event to enter into a daily drawing.

Of course, there are also special Spin & Go’s to give players a chance to win seats into the Big Blowout events. The Spin & Go’s cost $4 and $22 and run through January 17. The top prize is a $1,050 Big Blowout buy-in. This prize can only be won once; subsequent awards will be given in tournament dollars. $22, $55, $109, $215 and $530 Blowout Series tickets can be used to enter any event or satellite. Any tickets that go unused will be converted into regular tournament dollars after the Series ends.

Spin & Go Max - Step-by-step guide

Before you hit the Spin & Go Max tables, or if you want a quick refresher, make sure you read our simple step-by-step guide to gameplay and prizes.

The number of players in a given Spin & Go Max tournament is not known before you register. Instead, a random draw held before the tournament starts will decide the number of players, ranging from three to eight. The number of players drawn directly influences the prize pool.

Check out the table below to see what the probabilities are of between three to eight players being selected for a game at each buy-in level.

Here's how it works: before play starts, three spinners will show three potential prizes for the tournament's eventual winner. When play ends, the prizes will be shuffled and hidden. The winner will then pick one of the prizes (see Step 5) at random.

If more than one player will be paid, this will be specified in the tournament lobby. Prizes for second place or lower are fixed after the pre-game spins, and are not affected by whatever prize the first-place finisher selects post-game.

If the top prize is drawn on one of the pre-game spinners, it will be guaranteed and the winner will not have to choose from the initial three options when the tournament ends.

There is a separate pay-out table for each combination of buy-in and the number of players. See the Payouts page for more on how prizes are awarded.

Number of players decided and prizes determined? Okay, it's time to start playing poker. Each Spin & Go Max tournament is No Limit Hold'em, but if no winner is decided within a certain number of hands it's time to go all-in!

Once gameplay begins, a special countdown will show how many hands are left until all players remaining in the game go all-in (see Step 4). Please Note: a Spin & Go Max will only enter all-in mode if no winner is determined within the allotted number of hands - as dictated by buy-in level and total number of players.

After the specified number of hands has been played, and the counter has reached zero, your Spin & Go Max will switch to fast-paced all-in mode. The winner will then be quickly decided, as all remaining players will be all-in on every hand until there is only one player standing. Hold on to your seats!

Prizes drawn before the game will re-appear and then be shuffled and hidden. The winner will have 45 seconds to pick from one of the three hidden prizes. If they don't act in time the prize will be randomly selected for them.

To add even more excitement, when higher prizes are drawn (as specified in the payout tables) a 'Cash Out' option will be offered. Instead of randomly picking one of the hidden prizes at the end of the game, the first place finisher can select to 'Cash Out' an amount offered. The Cash Out amount is equal to the average value of all three prizes, minus an amount which will create a compelling choice.

If the highest possible pay-out is drawn on one of the pre-game spinners, the prize will be guaranteed and the winner will not have to choose from the initial three options when the tournament ends.
